South West Radiotherapy ODN is currently progressing a number of work streams including:

• Introducing innovative stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) techniques across all radiotherapy providers in South West. SABR allows for high dose, precision radiotherapy to be delivered in fewer treatments than conventional Radiotherapy for certain types of cancer.
• Standardising clinical protocols to reduce any variation across the providers & to ensure that patients can receive the best possible treatment regardless of their geographical location.
• Developing Network-wide workforce sustainability strategy to support long-term training and recruitment of staff to specialist posts.
• Utilising IT & modern technology to facilitate cross-provider collaboration and improve quality and efficiency.
