South West greener NHS bulletin

Climate change presents a growing threat to health. Taking action to reduce harmful carbon emissions will save lives.

That’s why the NHS has committed to reach net zero carbon for the emissions we control by 2040 and the emissions we influence by 2045; and in doing so we can improve health, now and for future generations.

We can’t reach this goal alone. Building a greener NHS will require the support of all 1.4 million NHS people, its partners, and suppliers.

Who is the bulletin for?

The South West Greener NHS bulletin is for anyone in the region who would like to know more about the progress we are making towards our net zero ambition and how to get involved in building a greener NHS.

Whether you work in the NHS, work closely with the NHS, or you’re simply interested in what the NHS is doing to tackle climate change in the south west, join our community of subscribers who are passionate about healthcare decarbonisation.
